Season of rituals

An annual ritual is held at the end of December to the beginning of January for a period of 7-10 days, called Nien-Chi ritual. In 2002, a grand and populous biannual joint Puyuma annual ritual was held in Likavong. Puyuma natives, and all tribes came to Likavong in splendid attire for singing, dancing, and sporting.

Nien-Chi ritual of this year

The ritual from the end of 2002 to beginning of 2003 was held by each tribe respectively. Rikavong ritual was organized by Parakwan Council, and was held between December 24, 2002 to January 3, 2003 for a total of 10 days.

Mangamangayau: A ritual that trains teens of obedience, courage, strength, and daring.
( Boys' Monkey Rite )

Mangayawa: For young men to recognize the bond with the nature through hunting and tiredness of the body. 

Romalavalafas: Get rid of the bad fortune for the family with deceased ones, and invite them to a new year.

New Year's Celebration: All night long dancing and singing to welcome the new year.
