First week (9/30-10/06,2002)

9/30 (Monday), select the team members, determine the theme, online registration
  • Mr. Ma announced the contest rules, select the students who are interested to participate, and then eliminate those who could not finish their work on time and are likely to quit. The final list is follows:

  • Theme: two choices: tribal language or tribal history. The students have chosen the latter, and named the project:When Rikavong was Young.

  • Research plan:
    Method: data gathering, interview elders, explore the historical relics, producing tribal map, cultural experience. 
    Collect: photos, literature, narration. Interview: elders, Chief, cultural workers.

  • Mr. Ma will assist in online registration of Cyberfair

10/1 (Tuesday) Time: afternoon class (16:00-17:30)

  • Mr. Ma assisted students to scan the old pictures and discuss the stories about the 
    pictures.

  • Collect tribal legends. (Students interviewed the elders after school)

10/2 (Wednesday)

  • Mr. Ma assisted students to scan the old pictures and discuss the stories about the

10/3 (Thursday) Time: after school (16:00-16:40)

10/4 (Friday)

  • Tribal living condition transformation survey, discussion on the pedigree survey and method.

  • Collect folksongs (Thanl Chian-hui's grandmother for the strong support)

10/5-6 (Saturday, Sunday)

  • Pedigree survey

  • Lifestyle evolution survey

  • The food, clothes, living, transportation, education, entertainment of 20 and 40 years old.

  • Ask tribe elders and culture workers to assist in data collection
